Women come to work for us to gain or regain work skills, to build self-esteem and to achieve independence so that they can take care of their families.

Women learn to work as a team, working on production of all our soups, chili mixes and gift baskets. They sell our products at festivals and other community events and work in all phases of our operation - from inventory control to account maintenance.

We like to say that our soups have a nice kick to them, except the curried lentil, which tends to be hot.

The business started in 1996 as Rochester Women's Bean Project. In 2002, we updated our look and our name to Healthy Sisters' Soup & Bean Works.
